- Request for Vehicle Inspection Form (purchase from any Alberta Registry Agent)
- Photo ID
For registration/exemption at a Registry
- OOP Certificate & Record of Inspection (if passed)
- Proof of Alberta address & Alberta insurance
- Proof of ownership (registration/title/bill of sale)
How the Alberta OOP Process Works
- Get the Request Form: Buy a Request for Vehicle Inspection Form from any Alberta Registry Agent.
- We inspect your vehicle: Licensed journeyperson technician performs the OOP inspection at CRC.
- If repairs are needed: Complete repairs and return for re-inspection within 10 days.
- If passed: Present your OOP Certificate to a Registry Agent within 14 days to register.
Re-inspections presented within 10 days verify only the repaired items. After 14 days, a new inspection is required.
